Odessa Mission

Odessa's Psychiatric Center

John writes: "Here's a look at Odessa's Psychiatric Center, where our son, Stefan, was supposed to begin "treatment" this week. He is presently taking a very small daily dosage of Rispolept and the child psychologist instructed us to increase that amount but we have neither done so nor do we intend to at this time. As you can imagine, we are very concerned about the competency of these psychologists and it's quite evident that they are unwilling to work with kids who are in any way active. My limited observations tell me that, in these doctors' minds, the more comotose the child the better. In fact, although Stefan has been on this medication for a few months now, and just began "treatment" at the center this week, three of the "professionals" immediately refused to work with him when they saw how active he was. Yep, you definitely can't get good help these days ... at least not in this country!!"
